Description
A lecture by Susan Brown, Assistant Curator, Textiles, Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum. The Cooper-Hewitt’s recent exhibition “Fashioning Felt” presented a dazzling array of felts ranging from industrial products to one-of-a-kind jewels, from walls to wearables, from the ethnographic to the ultra-modern. Curator Susan Brown will discuss the traditional antecedents of contemporary experiments in felt-making in conjunction with a survey of highlights from her exhibition.
