Description
Silke Horstkotte, Leipzig University, Germany. Since reunification, German public discourse about the Third Reich has been increasingly dominated by the popularity of family stories about life under the Nazis, the generation or new family novels. This presentation investigates the representation of familial patterns of inheritance by means of the three factors - genealogy, generation and gender - in some of these novels.
