Lecture by Alan Rosen. Lecture focuses on several aspects of the calendar in relation to the Holocaust, including calendars composed by victims in hiding, ghettos and even concentration camps that attest to the disruption of time and their attempt to manage time; calendars printed outside the European orbit that chronicle emerging knowledge of the events; and post-Holocaust calendars that arbitrate memory and commemoration through popular culture and literary responses.
