Description
The first film ever shot in CinemaScope is a biblical epic in bold, Oscar-winning color with strong performances and lavish set pieces (ranging from torture racks to opulent palaces). Indeed, in the words of Variety, The Robe "is a big picture in every sense of the word." Restored print introduced by Mike Pogorzelski, director of the Academy Film Archive, and Schawn Belston, director of Film Preservation at Fox.
