Description
Vera Cruz’s main star was the Eliane Lage, Brazil’s answer to Greta Garbo. Here Lage plays a beautiful woman trapped on an island in a loveless marriage to an older widower. The film was shot on location in a fishing village and directed by Italian actor Adolfo Celi (most famous for his role as Largo in Thunderball, Celi also appears in Caiçara). Celi's directorial debut was nominated for the Grand Prize at the Cannes Film Festival in 1951. Starring Eliane Lage, Carlos Vergueiro, Adolfo Celi.
