Mary Lipton is currently a staff scientist at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory and a faculty member at Washington State University-Tri-Cities in Richland, Washington. Lipton is nationally recognized for her research in microbial proteomics specifically for developing and applying new mass spectrometry-based technologies for the characterization of environmental microbes and microbial communities.
