Yale University Assistant Professor of Music Theory Brian Kane presents a lecture titled "Listening to 'The Burrow': Kafka and Acousmatic Sound." He compares Kafka's treatment of acousmatic sound in "The Burrow" with Pierre Schaeffer's "musique concrète" works" and presents a theory of acousmatic listening.
