Early Music Ensemble

The program includes troubadour music from the 13th century, performed by mezzo-soprano Jennifer Grace Sams with Alexandra Evans on medieval harp; two pastoral songs by Peri, with soprano Anna Slate and mezzo-soprano Leigh Akin; a cantata by Agostino Steffani, with Slate, alto Tyler Mitchell and harpsichordist Richard Adams; an excerpt from "Agar et Ismaele" by Scarlatti, with Akin and soprano Eunice Paul; and a seldom heard trio by Graun featuring Emily Fox on valveless baroque horn.
