Cinematheque: Celebrating 50 Years of the WCFTR

Combs is the re-animator, a mad scientist who discovers a formula that gives life to the dead (and who knows a good basement when he sees one) in this 1980s re-telling of the H.P. Lovecraft short story. Recently donated to the WCFTR by Stuart Gordon himself, Re-Animator is unabashedly gory, utterly disgusting, unquestionably distasteful and "so over the top" that "it tips over into a bizarre comedy" (Variety).
