								Matthew Bernstein is professor, chair and director of graduate studies of the Department of Film Studies at Emory University. He received his Ph.D. in film from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1987. His first book, Walter Wanger: Hollywood Independent, drew on Madison’s archival collections. His most recent book, Screening a Lynching: The Leo Frank Case on Film and Television, was named Choice’s Outstanding Academic Title of 2009.
