Part of The Symposium on Broadcasting in the 1930s. Kate Lacey is senior lecturer in media and cultural studies at the University of Sussex, as well as the head of media in the School of Media, Film, and Music. Lacey is the author of Feminine Frequencies: Gender, German Radio and the Public Sphere 1923-1945 and the forthcoming Listening Publics: The Politics and Experience of Mediated Sound.
