Naïve American student Harper enrolls in a German dance academy, only to discover it’s a front for a witches coven led by Bennett and Valli. A beautiful, operatic fever dream of a movie with a suitably creepy Goblin score, Suspiria remains the highpoint of director Argento’s career, which is to say it’s the supreme achievement of Italian horror.
