Guest Artist Series

Nay Palm Bones, a trombone quartet comprising Jeff Peterson, Jeff Thomas and Mark Hetzler (a School of Music assistant professor) on tenor trombones and Harold Van Schaik on bass trombone. With guest artist Kirstin Ihde, piano. Solos by each of the quartet members, and “Strong Water” by David P. Jones, played by the quartet. Nay Palm gets its name from the musical direction that orchestral trombonists generally see most often -- the palm of the conductor’s hand (“Trombones! Too loud!”).
