Description
Thimmig will play soprano and alto flutes, soprano and bass clarinets, and soprano and tenor saxophones. The program features both standards and two original compositions by Thimmig; the former including works by Cole Porter, Vernon Duke and Hoagy Carmichael. Thimmig is professor of saxophone at the School of Music; Rubinstein, who received master’s and doctoral degrees in composition from the School of Music, is currently serving as lecturer at UW-Whitewater.
