Gender and Women's Studies Colloquium

Professor Garlough’s publications have been in the areas of feminist theory, folklore studies, moral philosophy, rhetorical studies and critical social theory. Her research, which will be the subject of the talk, has focused on grassroots feminist groups in India and diasporic South Asian communities in the United States, examining the use of grassroots feminist performance to make claims about issues of social justice and human rights.
