Description
Sarah Babb has written widely on the sociology of knowledge and the politics of development. Babb's work "Managing Mexico" (2001) examines Mexican economic policy shifts in terms of the sociology of knowledge and changing economic orthodoxy. Her second book, "Behind the Development Banks," examines the way American political pressures moved the World Bank and other development institutions to promote neoliberal globalization in the 1990s.
