Film: Daughter of Keltoum

Daughter of Keltoum follows the journey of a nineteen-year-old Swiss woman determined to find her birth mother in Algeria. The perilous trip to her birthplace—an isolated, barren Berber settlement in the mountainous desert—immerses her in a world virtually untouched by contemporary society. The community still clings to tribal mores, as well as strict religious codes of conduct.
