UW Jazz Orchestra

UW Jazz Orchestra in a 100th anniversary tribute to Mary Lou Williams. The program will feature tunes that Williams composed or arranged, particularly for the Duke Ellington, Count Basie and Benny Goodman bands. Matt Hong, New York-based alto sax soloist, and Les Thimmig, Madison-based clarinetist, will be guest soloists. The UWJO is a standard big band, comprising five saxophones, four trombones, four trumpets and a rhythm section of drums, piano, guitar and bass.
