Followed by The Face you Deserve, Gomes’s first feature, which is an audacious comedy that is equal parts Jacques Rivette and Snow White. What begins as a hilarious depiction of a mid- (or third-) life crisis turns into a fever dream of arcane rules explicitly made to be broken.
