Description
The story of a battle of wits between omnipotent gossip columnist J.J. Hunsecker (Burt Lancaster) and super sleazy publicist Sidney Falco (Tony Curtis) is also one of the great love-hate letters to New York City in film history. James Wong Howe’s appropriately seamy b&w cinematography takes its cue from J.J.’s declaration: “I love this dirty town.”
