Description
Surrounded by junkies and violence, an aging Lisbon drag queen suffers all manner of Almodovarian indignities before a transcendent retreat to the natural world. Simultaneously wrenching and formalist, Rodrigues's third feature both exploits and thwarts the tropes that plague conventional gay cinema.
