Description
Kelly Wendland will discuss the role of governance in the creation of economic wealth and development, as well as in sustainable resource management. If natural resource management or use rights are decentralized, then relationships between governance and natural resources occur at multiple levels. Russia provides an ideal place to test the impact of decentralized governance on natural resource use given regional-level heterogeneity after the collapse of the Soviet Union.
