Description
Mikhail Kol’tsov is recognized as one of the most creative, witty and outspoken satirical writers of the 1920s and 1930s. However, in the critical literature, his reputation as one of the USSR’s foremost journalists overshadows his status as a writer. Anna Tumarkin, a Russian Language Program director at UW-Madison, will examine Kol’tsov’s narrative method as a masterful blend of artistic and rhetorical techniques.
