Description
Recent incidents indicate that globally sourced products -- particularly foods, food-grade chemicals (e.g., citric acid), and dietary supplements -- can create serious safety issues, and also present regulatory challenges. This conference will address the implications of globalization for the safety of the food supply. Panels will examine the development of policies and procedures for dealing with import safety in the public and private sectors, as well as public-private partnerships.
