Description
As many as 1/3 of U.S. children are exposed to complex trauma that involves multiple factors: domestic violence, caregiver problems, child maltreatment and community violence. Chris Blodgett, Washington State University, will present what identification and intervention strategies are needed to address trauma as a public health crisis. This presentation describes a model of intervention currently in testing in early learning and K-12 education in the state of Washington.
