In conjunction with the exhibition "Holy Image, Sacred Presence: Russian Icons, 1500-1900," at the Chazen Museum of Art, the Department of Art History has organized a symposium. Alexei Lidov, director of research at the Institute of World Culture, Moscow State University, will present the keynote lecture, "Russian Icons and the Making of Sacred Spaces."
