Part 2 of our double feature of action-packed 70s thrillers from director Verneuil, each with a seductive Ennio Morricone score, provides a showcase for some brave and jaw-dropping stuntwork provided personally by leading man Belmondo. Night Caller is the truncated American release version of Verneuil’s Fear Over the City. Belmondo is a police inspector tracking a serial killer who always starts with an obscene phone call to his victims.
