Description
A sheltered virgin still living at home at 23, Marina begins inching out into the world upon learning that her father is dying. She inhales nature documentaries and postpunk music, rehearses high-heeled silly walks and French kissing with her best friend, and attempts to put all that she’s learned into practice on her slightly bewildered boyfriend. At once humanist and absurd, Attenberg observes the human animal with amused, genuine curiosity. Best Actress, 2010 Venice Film Festival.
