With an introduction by Nancy Heingartner. Ales Brezina is a Czech-born musicologist, composer and arts administrator. He has published widely on 20th century music and is a world authority on the life and works of Bohuslav Martinu. Supporting materials include Brezina's collection of interviews with friends and pupils of Martinu, both in Europe and the United States, and two documentary films co-authored by Brezina himself for Ceska Televize.
