Description
This interdisciplinary conference, featuring nine presentations by scholars from four countries, will explore the interrelationship of the senses and reason in human knowledge with a focus on the role of aesthetics and German, French, and Italian literature in the 18th and 20th centuries. In discussing the legitimacy of aisthesis and the ‘aesthetico-epistemological’ promotion of art and literature, the conference aims to contribute to current discussions of the crisis of the humanities.
