Shestack, the deputy director and chief curator of the National Gallery of Art in Wasington, D.C., delivers this keynote lecture in "Interdisciplinarity and the University Art Museum," a conference presented by the Visual Culture Center as part of their series "New Directions in Visual Culture." The conference is co-sponsored by the American Indian Studies Program, the Center for the Humanities and the Departments of Art, Art History, and Theatre and Drama.
