School of Music Guest Artist Series

A native of Bucuresti, Romania, Peter Takacs is professor of piano at the Oberlin Conservatory, where he has taught since 1976. For his return engagement at the School of Music, he performs "Andante favori" by Beethoven, six preludes by Debussy and "Polonaise-Fantaisie," Op. 61 by Chopin. The program concludes with "Sonata in F minor for two pianos," Op. 34b by Brahms, with Professor Emeritus Howard Karp.
