School of Music Concert

Five School of Music piano students will perform works by Beethoven: Julie Page, "Seven Bagatelles," Op. 33; Elisabeth Malcolm, "Sonata in E-flat major," Op. 31, No. 3; Casey Coolidge, "Sonata in F minor," Op. 57 ("Appassionata"); Robert Logan, "Sonata in C major," Op. 53 ("Waldstein"); and Paola Savvidou, "Sonata in E major," Op. 109. A reception for performers and audience follows the program. Chancellor Emeritus Irving Shain is the competition's founder and long-time sponsor.
