Presented by awardees Giso Broman and Ian Carillo. Broman is a master's student in the School of Library and Information Studies and will present his paper, "The diversion of the São Francisco River: Lack of water and lack of democracy." Carrillo is a Ph.D. candidate in the development studies program and will present his paper, "Industrialization and Commodities in Brazil-The Case of BNDES."
