Description
John Yin, Chemical and Biochemical Engineering, will speak on the growth and spread of vesicular stomatitis virus (VSV), a rabies-like virus that can be cultured in the lab, highlighting recent progress toward coupling the roles of both biological amplification and physical movement in the growth and spread of virus infections. Applications for developing more potent vaccines, anti-viral therapies, and virus-based therapies for cancer will be discussed.
