Description
The first concert of the UW Symphony's season features three masterpieces: Overture to "Candide" by Leonard Bernstein; "Till Eulenspiegel's Merry Pranks" by Richard Strauss; and Symphony No. 9 ("From the New World") by Antonin Dvorak. The orchestra will be led by James Smith, director of orchestras, and David Grandis, graduate assistant conductor.
