								Renowned Charles Darwin biographer James Moore explores Darwin's struggle to reconcile his sense of evolutionary contingency with his belief in a moral progress that would abolish racial slavery.  Moore's lecture is sponsored by the Isthmus Society, a local network of scientists, scholars and interested community members who seek to promote an open dialogue among religions and sciences at UW-Madison.
