Description
Re-teamed with the director of The Killers, a rugged Burt Lancaster stars as an obsessive romantic who loses his wife (Yvonne DeCarlo) to the LA underworld. In an attempt to reclaim his love, he joins a group of gangsters planning an armored car heist. Remade by Steven Soderbergh as The Underneath, Criss Cross is “an archly noir story replete with triple and quadruple crosses, leading up to one of the most shockingly cynical endings in the whole genre.” (Dave Kehr) (USA, 1949, 35mm, 87 min.)
