J. Carlos Santamarina, Goizueta Foundation Faculty Chair and Professor, School of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Georgia Institute of Technology, presents. Energy and growth are intimately related. Energy demand will increase dramatically over the next several decades, exacerbating supply and demand issues, dependency on fossil fuels and environmental consequences. Geotechnology is at the center of the energy challenge.
