Description
Amy Eichhorn-Mulligan, University of Memphis, received her doctorate in Medieval and Modern Languages and Literatures from the University of Oxford, completing a dissertation called "Form and Function of the Grotesque Body in Medieval Irish and Norse Literature." Her lecture will address the construction of female gender and Ireland's tradition of sovereignty figures and tutelary deities.
