Environmental Controls on Benthic Algal Structure and Function in Northern Boreal Wetlands

Event Details

Date
Wednesday, December 14, 2011
Time
12 p.m.
Description
Algae are important to many of the processes that characterize wetland ecosystems. Despite their importance, we know relatively little about the factors that regulate algal communities in wetlands and northern boreal wetlands in particular. Join visiting scholar Allison Rober as she overviews her research on the factors that regulate algal primary production and taxonomic structure in high latitude wetlands. Allison is an exchange scholar visiting as part of the CIRTL Network Exchange.
