					Description
						
								David Krakauer, director, Wisconsin Institute for Discovery, will discuss key ideas from mathematics, physics, computation, and biology that have converged on similar explanations for adaptive behavior, a universal structure in all models describing adaptive search in high dimensional state spaces; and how intelligent mechanisms, including nervous systems, evolved to overcome a fundamental limit to the velocity of evolutionary adaptation.
