Description
John Nichols, correspondent for The Nation magazine and Capital Times associate editor, has written an early history of the recent Madison protests in "Uprising: How Wisconsin Renewed the Politics of Protest, from Madison to Wall Street." The Friends of the Libraries will sponsor the kickoff event on his tour for the book, which revisits the events of spring 2011 with vigor and immediacy. Nichols will talk and answer questions in a lively event. Free refreshments, and books will be for sale.
