Bringing the Yiddish Past to Life

The impressive holdings of the Mills Music Library are too little-known, and the Mayrent Collection — over 6,000 Yiddish recordings of cantorial, klezmer, theater and other music — is one of its true treasures. Mayrent Institute founding director Henry Sapoznik will give an exciting sonic tour of this nearly-forgotten Yiddish world, complete with recorded and live music, and food and drink.
