Cinematheque: LACIS Festival de Cine

With plenty of intelligence, wit and compassion, Catalan’s current attitudes toward immigration are explored. In his three part film we first witness that there is no chance of rehabilitation for an ex-convict returning home. The second story follows a Senegalese immigrant whose first task as a debt collector is to make sure that an anti-immigrant politician pays up. In the final part, a businessman becomes a media celebrity after killing an immigrant he caught burglarizing his home.
