Description
Grabois performs three works associated with the horn studio at UW-Madison -- "Sonata No. 3" by Alec Wilder, written for John Barrows, professor of horn from 1961-74; "Song Suite in Jazz Style" by Douglas Hill, professor of horn from 1974-2011; and "The Spikenard" by Grabois, who assumed the teaching post in 2011. The program includes "Prelude to Sunrise" by Todd Hammes and the premiere of "Roda" by Leah Asher, whose artistic conception of the work will be projected during its performance.
