					Description

Animal remains provide important archaeological data for understanding early ritual activities in China, including divination and sacrificial practices. This talk explores the changing patterns of ritual animal bone use in Neolithic and early Bronze Age China and discusses how these patterns reflect the way that ritual activities were integral to the establishment and development of power differences among individuals in early Chinese society.
