Description
Anna Sokolow (1910-2000), American dancer, teacher, and choreographer, made her first steps in dance in Martha Graham's dance company (1929-1939). Her diverse artistic career spanned three homelands: In New York she created for her dance companies; in Mexico she founded the first modern dance company, La Paloma Azul (The Blue Dove); and in Israel she established the modern dance company the Lyric Theatre.
