LACIS Lunchtime Lecture Series

Presented by Professor Alexis Levitin, SUNY Distinguished Professor, with the poet in attendance. Salgado Maranhão is one of Brazil’s leading contemporary poets. His collected poems, "The Color of the Word," won Brazil’s highest award, the Prêmio de Poesia da Academia Brasileira de Letras, for the year 2011. Alexis Levitin is currently a professor of English at SUNY-Plattsburgh. Cosponsored by the Brazil Initiative and the Division of International Studies.
