Description
Tomas Gómez Membreño is from Honduras where he works for the nonprofit Indigenous rights organization COPINH (Civic Council of Popular Indigenous Organizations). COPINH has been working to investigate the role of the United States in the coup and its aftermath. Gomez is a member of the Lencan indigenous community in the southwest of Honduras. Gomez has been part of a vibrant network of organizations representing small farmers, women, afro-descendants and members of the LGBTQ community.
